Celine & Waiting for Contact Sheets

Celine is awesome. I can't wait for her site to launch this summer! We recently did a casual shoot for her profile section of the site.

I should have some contact sheets coming in today or tomorrow from Richard Photo Lab. The sheets will include Katie Herzig, Katherine Tucker, Skaters, and a roll from the shoot I did with Jeremy. I'm pretty pumped!
We call days when film comes back "Film-mas" because it kind of feels like a certain December Holiday. Can you guess it?
In other news, Rob and I just returned yesterday from a great trip to Austin, TX. The wedding we shot featured one of the greatest couples ever! I'll try to post a few images when the wedding is launched.
Talk later!

Shooting and Editing

The last three weeks have been crazy....and cool...crazy cool.
The Moxii project will be officially wrapped up in the next couple of days, and I can't wait to see it all together. It's very rare that I get to be on the ground floor in creating a "seen style" with a company. Usually a client knows exactly what they want and you are hired to be a fulfillment of that pre-determined style. But with Moxii, I got to be very creative. I was able to hire my favorite stylist (Celine), and with the rest of the Moxii crew, we created something really really cool!

Amongst the craziness of the two weeks with Moxii, I was hired by Garden & Gun to shoot a "Portrait of Birmingham" for the June issue. I am not exagerating by saying thatG&G is my favorite magazine, and I was pretty floored when they called. So for the last two days, Rob Culpepper (who the dawned the role of assistant) and I have travelled all around Birmingham shooting portraits, food, environments, hotels, etc.
The film gets back tomorrow, but I can't show any of the final images until the magazine is published in June. However, I hope this test shot of Rob will hold you over for a while.
Peace. - Caleb

A Bryan Photo Retreat and RELEVANT Magazine
Current Location: Chattanooga, TN
I'm shooting a wedding in Chattanooga tomorrow, so Rob, Branden, and I are sitting in a hotel room watching Father Goose (an old favorite of mine). I've been in the mountains of North Carolina for the past few days, hanging out with the A Bryan Photo crew. It was an incredible few days of encouragement and motivation. Thank you guys so much for letting me be a part of the week!
In other news, I received a call from my friend Stephen Devries informing me that a picture I took for his organization Bedouins International has found its way to the pages of RELEVANT Magazine.

I really like the way it came out.
It's out this month, so if you want, pick one up!
Peace. - Caleb

Look3 Film

I recently received the film back from the Look3 conference. Here we go...

So on the way to the conference, Rob and I spotted a large rock quarry off the road a little ways, so we decided we would pull off and walk to the top. You can't really understand the depth of the place with these, but just picture us being able to fall to our deaths at any moment...

Here's Bob, once again taking an amazing picture.

Look3

Two weeks ago, Bob, Rob, and I ventured to the great state of Virginia to attend the 3rd annual Festival of the Photograph, Look3.
The film should be coming back next week, but until then, here are a few digital I took.
